So here are a few posts that have caught my eye in the last few weeks:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>December 28, 2015 Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology<br \/>\n<em>Risk of Venous Thromboembolism in Patients with Celiac Disease: A systematic Review and Meta-Analysis<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/26709842\" target=\"_blank\">Patients with celiac disease<\/a> (CD) have a significantly increased risk of developing venous thromboembolism (VTE) due to chronic inflammation and vitamin deficiency.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Dec 10, 2015 from Helio Gastroenterology research<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Familial risk for celiac disease varies by gender, geographic location<\/strong><\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Did you know?<\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.5;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.healio.com\/gastroenterology\/malabsorption\/news\/online\/%7Bed0b12ee-6919-416b-aabd-fead03971f5d%7D\/familial-risk-for-celiac-disease-varies-by-gender-geographic-location\" target=\"_blank\"> If you have an immediate family member with celiac<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"> your risk is 7 times higher than the general population. If you have a brother, sister or parent with the disease your risk goes from 1 in 100 to almost 1 in 10. \u00a0Two siblings with the disease?
